Website, secure VPS hosting, and Microsoft 365 foundation built from scratch

/ Delivery timeline
How the work moved from diagnosis to handover
The timeline keeps the proof story readable: current state, design decisions, controlled delivery, then handover evidence.
Diagnose
Mapped the current state, constraints, dependencies, and highest-risk failure points.
Design
Defined the operating model, rollout path, documentation needs, and rollback criteria.
Deliver
Executed the change in controlled phases with stakeholder updates and support coverage.
Handover
Closed with runbooks, access notes, configuration records, and next-step recommendations.
Problem
The Challenge
A services firm had no digital infrastructure in place. The team was operating on personal Gmail accounts with no business domain, no company website, and no shared workspace. Prospects searching online found nothing. Internal documents were spread across personal drives with no central storage or access controls. Before the business could grow, it needed a professional web presence, a secured hosting environment, business email under its own domain, and a cloud productivity platform, all built from the ground up.
Intervention
Our Approach
BPro Technologies managed the full engagement from start to finish. Domain registration and DNS were configured first, establishing the foundation for everything that followed. A Linux VPS was provisioned and hardened: non-root SSH access with key-based authentication, UFW firewall restricting inbound traffic to necessary ports only, Nginx as the web server with TLS 1.3 and automatic Let's Encrypt certificate renewal, Fail2ban for brute-force protection, and automated nightly backups with offsite retention. The website was built to match the service business context: service pages, a quote request form, mobile-optimized layout, performance-conscious structure, and secure handover notes. Microsoft 365 Business Standard was provisioned in parallel: Exchange Online mailboxes for the full team, SharePoint for shared document storage, Teams for internal communication, and MFA enforced on every account from day one. Email authentication was configured in full: SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records published and tested, with DNS readiness, deliverability checks, and Microsoft 365 handover notes documented for ongoing administration.
Measurable result
What changed after launch
The business went from no digital infrastructure to a fully operational web and email foundation. Business email replaced personal Gmail across the team on go-live day. The VPS was configured with automated patching, monitoring, backups, and hardened access. DMARC moved to enforcement, protecting the domain from spoofing and improving email trust.
- Website launched on hardened VPS
- Microsoft 365 provisioned: email, Teams, SharePoint, and MFA on day one
- SPF, DKIM, and DMARC fully configured and escalated to enforcement
- Personal Gmail accounts replaced with business email at go-live
- Automated backups and VPS monitoring in place from launch
