/ IT support for startups
IT support for startups, from your first hires onwards.
Give staff a dependable place to get help as your business grows. BPro manages agreed accounts, devices, security and recovery, so a founder or operations lead can approve decisions without becoming the everyday helpdesk.

Four responsibilities to put in place.
Company-controlled accounts
Domain, tenant, billing and recovery owners recorded.
Devices ready for work
Inventory, approved setup and protection responsibilities.
Repeatable staff changes
A named approver for access, role changes and departures.
Support and recovery owners
A clear helpdesk route and recoverable systems in scope.
Keep ownership with the business as people join.
Company domains, subscription tenants, billing and recovery contacts should remain under company-controlled ownership. Record approved administrator roles, device ownership and supplier contacts. A personal account or a departing contractor should not be the only route back into a business system.
We establish a baseline around your current people and tools. Software startups can review technology-company support for the boundary between employee IT and production engineering.
If a contractor or another provider manages the setup today, confirm administrator access, licence ownership and backup responsibilities before changing access. Agree the handover checks and preserve working services while ownership transfers.
A first-ten-hires readiness checklist.
For each role, name the access requester, approver and completion owner. Adapt this planning template to your business; it is not a completed assessment. Avoid inheriting the previous employee's permissions.
| Check | Owner to identify | Evidence to retain |
|---|---|---|
| Before an offer becomes a start date | Hiring manager and operations lead | Role, start date, applications, equipment and access approver |
| Prepare the account and device | IT owner with the access approver | Named account, multi-factor authentication (MFA), device inventory and tested sign-in |
| Confirm day-one readiness | New starter and manager | Required apps work; helpdesk and recovery route are understood |
| Review a role change | Manager and system owner | New permissions approved; obsolete access removed |
| Plan the departure | Manager, data owner and IT owner | Account access closed, data handed over and device return recorded |
For a wider handover, use the MSP onboarding checklist. Check Microsoft 365 security or Workspace security against the edition and systems you actually use.
Ongoing support with a defined baseline.
Every managed client receives 24/7 monitoring and helpdesk, endpoint detection and response (EDR) on each managed device, daily backups and quarterly recovery tests. Operating-system, third-party and firmware patches are tested before deployment. The service schedule identifies covered systems and data, maintenance arrangements, response targets and approval responsibilities.
Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration can sit alongside employee support. Major migrations, production-platform work and physical installation need their own agreed responsibility. See the broader managed IT service for the operating model.
A quote that reflects your next stage.
Bring your current and planned user counts, devices, locations, subscriptions and unresolved support problems. We separate the recurring service from initial setup, remediation or migration, and confirm terms before you commit. Growth should trigger a scope review, not an assumption that every new system is already included.
Use the managed IT pricing guide to understand quote inputs, and the provider-selection checklist to compare support, ownership and exit arrangements fairly.
When hiring, renewals and investment decisions need continuing leadership review, our virtual CIO service can maintain the roadmap and budget alongside your support arrangement.

Yes. BPro can manage agreed employee IT responsibilities while your founder or operations lead approves access and spending. If you later hire an administrator, we can review a co-managed arrangement with clear ownership and escalation.

A quote depends on users, devices, systems, existing licences and support responsibilities. Recurring support is separated from setup, migration or remediation. Any minimum scope, contract terms and onboarding costs are confirmed in the proposal.
Employee IT support does not automatically include development, production hosting or operating a customer-facing platform. Any responsibility for these systems is agreed separately, including access, approvals and incident ownership.
